CBRE and CBRE Global Investors relocate their offices in Spain to Edificio Castellana 200

CBRE, the leading international consultancy and real estate service company, will relocate its corporate headquarters in Spain to Edificio Castellana 200, one of the most modern and emblematic properties in the city. With this change, which is expected to take place in December 2012, the company is starting a new chapter in its history, in conjunction with CBRE’s 40th anniversary of being in Spain in 2013.

CBRE Global Investors, the company created via the acquisition of ING REIM Europe by the CBRE Group, will also relocate to the new offices.
The new offices will comprise 3,500 sq m, arranged over two floors. The offices will incorporate the very latest technologies and experiences developed in CBRE and CBRE Global Investors’s offices in other offices, incorporating energy efficiency and internal air quality criteria, which lead to increased productivity, a significant reduction in operating costs and higher levels of efficiency. The design and fit-out of the offices will be carried out by CBRE’s Architecture department, which will equip the space with new and more flexible ways of working, such as the implementation of clean desk policy. which involves removing fixed desks for employees, thereby implementing the simultaneous use of work spaces, the creation of spaces for multidisciplinary groups and connectivity between work colleagues, the result of which is more effective and efficient communication.
The aim is that the new offices will shortly have the Platinum LEED certification, which is the highest international recognition for energy efficiency and sustainability.

Castellana 200, which is expected to be inaugurated this Autumn, will without doubt be one of the most important properties in Madrid. It comprises 21,500 sq m of office space, an 8,500 sq m retail promenade and more than 800 parking spaces. It will also have an 18,000 sq m luxury hotel, which will be developed as a second phase.
